RESTAURANTS

San Pancho has an amazing number of fine restaurants for a town of its size. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Here is some information about a few of them, albeit, my favorites. Their locations are shown on the map of San Pancho.

La Ola Rica

Triny and Gloria have a fabulous place right along Av Tercer Mundo near the beach. While the verdict is not unanimous, there are many who feel that this is the best place in town. It is certain that you will not be disappointed.Try the BBQ or the Coconut Shrimp.

Mar Plata.  Very expensive but very good.  Located close to Hotel Costa Azul.

Maria's. Very good breakfast, lunch and dinners.  Moderate prices.

Las Palmas.  Located at the end of main street on the beach.  Funky and slow service, but good seafood.

La Chalupa.  The ultimate greasy spoon experience.  Very inexpensive and the best fish fillets.

Taza de Cafe.  Open for breakfast.

If you wish for French Cuisine on your trip to Mexico, Cafe del Mar is the place for you.

On Tuesday nights the bar at Costa Azul features Flamenco guitar.  For breakfast try the el cafecito (Tazo Cafe)next door to La Ola Rica. Also nearby La Ola Rica is Chalupa, an excellent place for fresh seafood. Some of the sidewalk places offer delicious and inexpensive food. Try Eva's for a quick and light dinner if you don't want to make a big deal out of dinner that night. There are still more places to try and I know that I'm leaving out many deserving ones. Please let me know if you find a place that you think is great. I'd be happy to include it here.
