It's for pure relaxation.

This pool is not for serious swimmers...It is about five feet deep, has an infinity horizon and a shallow area in back; with a contoured bottom perfect for lying in about six inches of water!
The lower pool is shallow, allowing the water to heat up during the day, the recliners are built-in and very comfortable with a beach towel over them. A masseuse is available, please inquire. |
| There is a stone and concrete path to the beach. It begins adjacent to the built-in BBQ off the rear patio. It's a three minute walk down the trail to the beach. Please note that the trail crosses a steep cliff; there is a hand rail down to the beach, however, care must be taken. The final descent to the beach is very steep; traversed with switchbacks. The journey is well worth the effort for those in reasonable physical condition and mature enough to be careful - children MUST be supervised, and older people should abstain from walking down this steep path to the beach. |

Down on the beach:

Be very careful about going in the water. I am an experienced and strong swimmer and have used the beach for swimming many times and never felt that it was dangerous. I discovered that this is not always the case. Typically the surf is not overwhelming, however, if the waves reach a certain height, it creates a situation where there is so much water coming back off the beach that the undertow becomes treacherous. The power of the waves is such that you will rapidly find yourself in a helpless situation; like a rag in a washing machine, unable to get into the beach or beyond the next breaker. Please don't let this happen to you. It will spoil your vacation. |

The ocean and beach are so beautiful you may never leave your terrace...
